Visit a local historic site within the charming village of Cazenovia and learn more about the local history of the region. The Lorenzo State Historic Site is a Federal-style mansion built by the founder of the village of Cazenovia, John Lincklaen in 1807.
Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the mansion house and can explore the outlying buildings and grounds at leisure. Guests will step back in time to explore 160 years of original furnishings and get a feel for life in Central New York in the 19th century.
The Gift Shop, restrooms, Visitor Center, and first floor of the Mansion are handicap-accessible. On their own guests can explore the visitor center with exhibits, carriage/sleigh collection, and view two educational short films. The grounds are also open and guests can enjoy the fall foliage and fall flowers in the formal garden.
