Fishing on DeRuyter Lake

Clear Path volunteer Jim Flood invites veterans to join him for a peaceful morning of fishing on DeRuyter Lake. Jim’s boat can accommodate two guests (adults or youth ages 14+), making this a small and personalized experience on the water.

All fishing equipment will be provided, including bait, tackle, and lures, though guests are welcome to bring their own rod if preferred. Participants should plan to bring their own snacks and must have a valid New York State fishing license. Following the outing, Jim will generously treat guests to lunch at a local lakeside spot.

This is a great opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy meaningful conversation, and try something new in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Please note that this event is weather dependent and will begin promptly at 8:00 AM. Guests are encouraged to arrive 10–15 minutes early, as anyone arriving after 8:15 AM will not be able to participate.
