Eagle Scout candidate plans to add arborvitae privacy to woodworking shop

Ryan Walker of Taunton is an Eagle Scout candidate in Troop 220 and a junior at Westhill Senior High School. He is currently working on his Eagle Scout Project in which he is coordinating the planting of a 4-foot arborvitae privacy wall (approximately 280 feet in length) between Clear Path for Veteran’s new woodworking shop and adjoining private properties.

For the project, Walker will be setting the line for the holes to be dug; coordinating the digging of the holes; purchasing, delivering and planting approximately 40 trees; and mulching and fertilizing all the new plantings.

Walker has established a Go Fund Me page to help him fund the project, especially the purchasing of the trees. All donations are tax-deductible.

As he is planning to complete the project this summer, he said he hopes to achieve his fundraising goal in the next month so he can purchase the trees this spring.
