Clear Path to host Boots to Business: Reboot for Veteran-owned small businesses

If you are starting or growing your Veteran-owned business, sign up now for Boots to Business | Reboot an entrepreneurship training program being offered from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at Clear Path for Veterans. Veterans of all eras, service members (including National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses are eligible to enroll in classes.

Boots to Business | Reboot is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This training program is designed for Veterans and their dependents who have already made the transition back to civilian life.

This is a two-step training program that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources - including SBA resources available to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance. Step one is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course which is instructed by SBA and its partners who are skilled business advisors. Step two is one of the online follow-on courses instructed by a consortium of professors and skilled business advisors from the SBA Network.

Reasonable arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Contact the Boots to Business team at (202) 205-8381 or email boots-to-business@sba.gov.

For more information, contact Michael Stout of the SBA at michael.stout@sba.gov or (315) 471-9393 ext. 226.
