Red, White & Blue Barbecue presented by SRC, Inc. - Postponed

The Red, White & Blue Barbecue presented by SRC, Inc. is a yearly celebration of Clear Path and the first fundraiser our co-founders started with a down-home backyard barbecue feel that supports our programs and services. Our culinary team will be preparing a delicious meal featuring unique dishes and sides, festive desserts, plus a variety of bourbon, wine, and craft beer selections. The evening will also include the regionally-acclaimed The Fabulous Ripcords. Come out to Clear Path for a lively night of fun and festivities.

If you would like to provide an opportunity to a Veteran to attend the event at no charge, you are welcome to purchase a "Sponsor a Veteran" ticket.

The purpose behind the Red, White & Blue Barbecue is two-fold. First, we want to showcase the work being done at Clear Path for Veterans, and second, we want you to have a great time for a worthy cause.

During his tenure as Syracuse University’s head football coach, Doug Marrone and his wife, Helen, saw the great work being done at Clear Path for Veterans and wanted to be a part of an organization that was truly giving back to our CNY Veterans. Doug and Helen suggested that we hold a barbecue to raise money to fund our programs and services, and that is how this event found its roots.

Ride for Clear Path - September 26, 2021

In 2013, Clear Path for Veterans hosted its first organized motorcycle ride. This ride was dedicated to Veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice. More than 100 motorcycles arrived at 1223 Salt Springs Road and rode on a spectacularly scenic hour-long trip through Madison County. Upon return of bikes, we serve a delicious barbecue lunch.

Self-guided tours, music, and raffles are some of the featured activities. This event provides our guests, many of whom are Veterans, the opportunity to learn about our programs and services.

The ride continues to grow each year, with hundreds of motorcyclists participating each year. Our expected yearly attendance for the event is more than 400 people. Lunch following the ride will include a delicious chicken barbecue.

We will have music, raffles and refreshments. Your registration fee includes coffee and snacks before the ride and a savory BBQ lunch after the ride. The ride will begin and end at Clear Path for Veterans.

In any community, it’s nice to have familiar places, faces and events.  Our recurring events are fantastic for relaxation, wellness and camaraderie.

Weekly Canteen

Our Wednesday Canteen is modeled after the North Platte, Neb. canteen. This canteen ended up feeding and providing a place of comfort to all the men headed across the country to fight in World War II. Each week, our culinary team prepares a complimentary lunch open to all active duty and Veteran men, women, and their immediate families.

This nutritious lunch is served in a welcoming environment to men and women of all service eras. The canteen is an opportunity for us to engage the local community. We love to work with families to establish mutually beneficial relationships.

Supporting our local farmers is crucial to a healthy community. We are always open to new partnerships. While every Canteen is a way for us to honor servicemen and women of all eras, we like to offer the opportunity to host Memorial Canteens. We will prepare his or her favorite meal, feature pictures and a pamphlet telling their life story, and dedicate words to their memory. This is a way to honor a fallen friend or family member within the local military community.
